Summer Lovin'

WOW. So I am super far behind on blogging, so this is the watered down version of August, or most of August. ***July 28th- (not really August) Marked the beginning of year 3. We met at the Lake at Daybreak the night of July 28th, 2009. I cant believe its been 3 years! We didnt do anything special. I helped some of this family move, and he slept/worked. I know, we are a super romantic couple. Ha ha. ***August 3rd- I got to spend the evening with my mom and sisters. We went and Registered for baby girl Carter, and then we went to Chipolte (One of my favorites)It was a lot of fun spending time with the girls, Especially as the night was growing later, and we were getting weirder and weirder. (Mindi and Brittany especially- ha ha) ***August 4th- We had a family reunion with Robs family, It was fun, and I met a lot of nice people. We went to a park and had lunch and visited. After that, Rob and I went to the district and played there for a while as we waited for my family to get done at the zoo. It was my moms birthday, and we all met up for dinner at the district. Dinner was fun, but by the end of it, I was exhausted from being out in the sun all day at the park, and then walking all over the district. ***August 6th- August 6th I met up at a park/splash pad with Robs family. It was his sister Cheri's birthday. It was a lot of fun. I am so glad I feel so comfortable and welcome around Robs family. I see them more than he does. I love them all so much. The family decided to play volley baseball. It was a lot of fun watching them, but I really wanted to play too. Robs mom wanted to hit, so I decided I would run for her. I learned the hard way that that is NOT the thing to do when you are 7+ months pregnant. I was in so much pain, both right after, and the next few days. I couldn't walk or move. I defiantly learned my lesson there, But it was still fun! ***August 11th- Happy birthday to my amazing husband! That morning, Rob went and did a golf tournament with my 2 brother in laws. He had a really good time. While he was gone I made a coupon book for him, Including tickets for him to attend the Lakers vs Jazz game in November. (I cant buy him sports tickets- ha ha) That night we ran a few errands, and I got my "most amazing wife" award by going to Carls Jr for his birthday dinner- I told him to pick, and that's what he said because it was quick and cheap. Then, as we are getting our food, he started the whole "My wife took me to carls jr for my birthday. Ha ha) I felt really bad, I think the pregnancy emotions were running high after that. Ha ha. ***August 12th- My lovebug turned 1!! )My nephew Korbin- but he didn't actually turn 1 until the 17th), We celebrated his birthday with a family BBQ. It was a lot of fun. He is so cute. I cant get enough of the little guy. I also made Rob a cake for his birthday (Trying to redeem myself from the Carls jr mishap the day before) I saw the cake on Pintrest, and thought it would be perfect for him. I think it turned out Okay. It was defiantly a learning experience. August 13th- I got a sinus infection, and while I was at work, the owner of the company called me to ask a question. He heard me cough, and told me to get out. (He is very ANTI-germ) He asked If I could work from home that day, and I said yes. Needless to say, I have not been back to the office since. Since then, the IT guy has come out and got my home office up and working, and I am officially a work at home mom. Its been good. I feel very comfortable in my new position, I love the girls I work with on my team, and I am excited that I get the opportunity to stay at home with our baby girl. I feel truly blessed. ***August 15th- Brent and Katy (Robs brother and his wife) moved back to Utah!!! When we first learned that they were moving back to Utah, after being away in California for a year and a half, I was ecstatic! I couldn't sit still all day. Im so glad they are so close now. (they live 5 minutes from us. Its been fun hanging out with them again! ***August 21st- Kim and Ryan (Robs sister and her husband)and there 5 little girls moved to Utah from California! We learned they were moving here the day after we found out about Brent and Katy. Needless to say, there was a lot of excitement that week and I could hardly hold still. This means all that Rob's blood siblings are all in the same state now. I am so happy about it. I love family! That is pretty much August. I had my baby shower on August 25th, but that is going to be my next post. Here are a few pictures from the Party.
So As I was going through my phone, getting the cake picture, I came across a few random pictures too. Carseat cover my mom and sister are making for baby girl Carter.
